Google has been giving web directories a hard time of late, in particular it seems not to like empty category pages, and pages which can only be crawled by pagination types of links.

Our own web directory indexplex was built a few years ago, and has largely avoided these sorts of problems.  Its content rich which is particularly helpful.

Content is organised by category and these cover a broad range of topics.
